Alicia Lázaro is a Göteborg-based multifaceted artist working with sound as immersive storytelling. With a background in classical composition and piano, she graduated Cum Laude in Contemporary Composition in 2017 and holds a Master's in Improvisation Performance from leading institutions across Scandinavia. Alicia’s work is focused on intertwining interactive visuals, music, movement, and real-time performance. with projects such as Once There Was No Silence (2022) and First the Air is Blue (2024). She has performed at international festivals, and her compositions premiered at major venues including the National Music Hall in Taipei (Taiwan) and Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid).
With a powerful yet intimate atmosphere, her music is a soul-searching journey. In her upcoming debut album, voice, piano, and electronics weave a mesmerizing tapestry, expanded on the trumpet (Arve Henriksen) and the ensemble. Inspired by ancient storytelling and the research on symbolism by Jung and Campbell, this audiovisual album explores the timeless human quest for transformation. There, where music becomes a multi-sensory space to start the journey.
